Meet Virgie Boylan, a true Nebraskan who was born in Papillion and attended Gross High school and some college. Her first job was working at Bakers supermarket followed by a demanding career of 27 years in the transportation industry. Her biggest career break was joining the Serenity Dental team, working up the ranks and serving in her current position of Office Manager.
Virgie has two wonderful sons Brandon, 26 who has his own lawn care business and works at O’Reilly’s. Travis, 23 who served as a Marine for 4 years, deployed twice, and is currently on a 4,000-mile bike ride to raise money for a cure for cancer, Virgie could not be prouder of her boys.
Virgie is athletic and loves jogging, bicycling, swimming, and water skiing. For fun she spends time with neighbors, friends and family, enjoying outdoor concerts and Jazz on the Green. She is passionate about running and would one day like to finish the Lincoln Marathon.
Her work at Serenity Dental and Weeping Water has given her many memories to cherish. Her sweetest was beating Dr. Dabbert and Dr. Neumann in her first Boystown 5K run. She has received several recognitions including the Employee of the Year and Employee of the Quarter awards, which were very encouraging. She is an important and smiley member of the Serenity Dental team.
When asked what her favorite vacation spot is, Lindsey DeVaughn’s response is “anyplace where there is a lake!” However, make no mistake; this hard-driven woman has many other interests as well.
Our Staff Spotlight highlights dental hygienist Lindsey DeVaughn. Lindsey is originally from McCook, NE. She received her BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Lindsey and her husband Preston are the parents of two children (Grant and Mallory).
Lindsey first became interested in dentistry during a Career Day in High School. After that fateful day she knew that dental work was the path that she wanted to take for her career. Lindsey gives credit to Renee Flammang, her own dental hygienist growing up as her most instrumental mentor in her career. She began working for Dr. Neumann at Weeping Water Dental over 15 years ago.
Some other interests that Lindsey enjoys includes doing puzzles of any kind, playing tennis, racquetball, and golfing. Besides that she also likes making quilts. One day she wants to delve into her family genealogy. Topping these activities is having a spa day!
Through all of her life experiences Lindsey has learned to realize not to stress about the things that you cannot change. Maybe that is why you will see her enjoying a peaceful day at the lake. We are happy and so fortunate to have Lindsey on our team!
