Greetings from Serenity Dental,

We hope this note finds you well despite the unprecedented times we've been going through.  The COVID virus has undoubtedly affected us all, and we are certain that, like us, you are anxiously awaiting to get back out into this great community of ours.

We are pleased to inform you that the Directed Health Measure placed on March 18th, which required our dental office to close to non-emergency care has been lifted, and as of May 4th, we are open for business!

We know this virus pandemic has created a lot of fear and concern, especially now as we begin to spend more time out in public.  We want to help alleviate these fears as you prepare to return to the dental office.  Our team has been closely monitoring the recommended protocols released by the American Dental Association and Nebraska Dental Association for reopening dental offices.  In addition to the CDC's Standard Precautions that we have always closely adhered to, we plan on taking the following additional steps for your safety:

  • Each patient will be asked to complete a questionnaire to screen for symptoms of COVID-19.

  • We plan on taking temperatures of each patient scheduled for treatment prior to being seated.  Any patient who exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 or is running a fever will be sent home.

  • Similarly, each staff member will have their temperature recorded daily.  Any staff member who runs a fever or exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 will be sent home and required to self-quarantine.

  • More time will be placed between appointments to minimize the number or patients in the clinic at one time.

  • We kindly request that only scheduled patients come to their appointment.  We understand that some patients will require assistance, and many of our younger patients need a parent or guardian to be with them.  We ask these people to wear a mask while in the clinic.

  • We have reduced the number of chairs in the waiting room to maintain proper social distancing.

  • In addition to completely disinfecting each operatory between appointments, will be disinfecting door handles and restrooms several times daily throughout the clinic.

  • We have purchased additional Personal Protective Equipment for staff members to wear during procedures to minimize the risk of disease transmission during procedures.

Please know that safety and peace of mind are our top priority, and if we can answer any questions, please do not hesitate to call.  If you need an appointment call, please call 402-339-6078.

Have a safe, healthy, and happy summer.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Dr Matt Neumann
